However, what is more heart breaking is the plain fact that their parents had not raised them to respect people and be kind and gentle to those who are trying to be kind and giving to you. No matter the value of the gift, the receiver should have the grace to accept it as graciously as it was given. Under no circumstances should a person (no matter their age) denigrate the value of a gift.

By the same token, the children's parents should not speak disparagingly of a gift that was given to them or to their child in front of their children or within earshot.Vera Godleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00511948370346834218noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5811895298125323943.post-15974666287643972812011-11-10T18:17:47.552-05:002011-11-10T18:17:47.552-05:00I absolutely HATE Christmas shopping. My grandmother had TONS of grandkids and had to shop at the dollar store, and they would actually say, "I don't want this junk." Right in front of my grandma. She handled it well, but I'm sure it still hurt.

Following you from SheSpeaks www.miscramblings.usTami Winbushhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16582827296870344522noreply@blogger.com
