I have no idea where all of our parents were, but all of us cousins were gathered in the living room playing the card game Spoons. We had to teach one of my cousins to play. By the time he had a complete set of cards, all of the spoons had been taken. My oldest cousin told him to grab a spoon, and when he saw they were all gone, he was like "how'd that happen?" We ended up using that round as a practice round.Dawn Janishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08564326324567557173noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5811895298125323943.post-512454803684931962014-11-18T14:21:58.529-05:002014-11-18T14:21:58.529-05:00I just love the Christmas Story from Luke 2.I just love the Christmas Story from Luke 2.Maria Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08051265904420049185noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5811895298125323943.post-27932529705462183052014-11-18T00:45:12.275-05:002014-11-18T00:45:12.275-05:00My favorite Christmas story is hearing my grandma ...My favorite Christmas story is hearing my grandma read the Christmas story from the bible. One story that often comes up is the one about the time my husband and I coincidentally each bought the other a new office chair. The funniest part was that I liked the chair I bought best and my husband liked the chair he bought best. So, we each kept the chair we bought, rather than the one we received. It worked out well! I drew my sister-in-laws name and I purchased a gift for each stanza of "The Christmas Poem" (20+ gifts). My mother-in-law handed out presents. Between each gift she passed out, she would read a stanza of the poem, give the gift to my two year old daughter, and my daughter would give the gift the her aunt.
